Inuyasha + Green Lantern Corps by PrideLanternCorps Inuyasha + Green Lantern Corps by PrideLanternCorps
I've been into mixing Anime with the Lantern Corps from "Green Lantern" comics and there's a corps for each color and emotion (drive) for those who don't know.

So here's the emotion/drive that matches the characters form Inuyasha.

Inuyasha = "The Red Lantern Corps of Rage" because he's very fierce looking when ever he gets pissed and easily one of my top 5 angriest anime heros.

Naraku = "The Orange Lantern Corps of Avarice" because he's the antagonist who's driven by his own greed for power.

Sesshomaru = "The Sinestro (Yellow) Corps of Fear because he is very frighting to those of weak will.

Sango = "The Green Lantern Corps of Willpower" because she's determined to avenge the death of her family.

Miroku = "The Blue Lantern Corps of Hope" because he's hoping to get some ass! lol

Kikyo = "The Indigo Tribe of Compassion" because that's what priestess are pictured as, Compassionate.

Kagome = "The Violet Sapphire Corps of Love" because well she's the love interest character.

I think switching kikyo and kagome would be a little more accurate. The color violet is not only love, it is rage, specifically the rage of a spurned woman who was once loved. I feel like that fits Kikyo to a 'T'. Kagome is nothing but compassion for others, including the man she loves. Kagome would be a good indigo lantern.

Ah, but more recent comics have...kind of reversed this. At least during the War of Light stuff. Indigo Tribe was later revealed to have been made up almost entirely of former criminals, murderers and the like, who when faced with the pain their victims felt, couldn't bear it, and chose to repent and do good. Indigo isn't just "compassion", it's specifically that born of empathy. Sometimes forced empathy :P

Given her phase as kind of a ragemonster when first resurrected, but her growing compassionate enough to save Kohaku at the end, Indigo works well for her.

Meanwhile, the Sapphires got it better under control when they decided to stop relying directly on the crystals and instead started using power rings; now, they tend to be chosen simply for their being "full of love", e.g. Wonder Woman, and Miri (who wasn't spurned; she lost her husband to death on their honeymoon, and was ready to kill herself from being so in love with him she didn't know how to go on without him). I could definitely see that fitting Kagome! :)

Poor Inu, though...Red Lanterns aren't just rage. They're fueled specifically by the rage caused by losing someone you love :( It's the rage of grief. (Best story showing this off: the origins of "Dex-Starr" I think it is, the cat red lantern. Yes, he's a literal cat. And yes, it's like, the saddest story ever)

My only qualm with this lineup is that Kikyo has very little "compassion" in most of the show that I remember. Other tan that, these are great! :D

What's neat though is the Indigo Tribe apparently forcibly MAKES you feel compassion, literally making you feel the pain of the people you hurt. It tends to overwhelm the people who have screwed up the way Kikyo did (with say, her plan that involved GIVING Naraku the Jewel...). This causes them usually to agree that they need to repent, to devote themselves to the way of compassion to make up for their sins. It's basically brainwashing, a bit creepy actually :P

I just know Miroku would stare at Kagome in the Star Sapphire in outfit, and then she'd probably blast him in the face.

Somehow, I don't think that's what is meant by "hope". The comics describe it more in a religious sense, as in faith. Maybe because he's a monk...?

Wouldn't Kikyo (Aside from Black) function better as the Red? Her hate and rage is the only part of her soul that remains in her and is her sole motivation.

I could see that since she's resurrected and all. Thanks for the input. I didn't know if I should have added White and Black Lantern.

I never expected a comment in less than 30 seconds of submission. LOL
